Dr. Gary Martin is a Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Services at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. He has been involved with Career Guidance since 1983. Dr. Martin teaches a course which prepares students for their entry into the "Professional World." He has interviewed literally hundreds of new professionals and their supervisors at their work site. Dr. Martin researched, developed, and field-tested Welcome to the Professional World around this research. Dr. Martin’s professional and academic background is in Educational Psychology. Other research interests include diversity in the workplace and Cooperative Education best practices.
